But then I figured ok, that was NAMM show time, so we went to the NAMM show, came back I did some shows with my brother Vinnie. I said well thatвЂ™s cool then I can play with Tim, instead of Tim playing with me. It was a mess, I said, вЂњOh my god!вЂќ So he (Jorgen) said we have to get Tim on this and, youвЂ™re gonna have to redo the drums. Time that we recorded Tim, Jorgen the engineer, who was the bass player, said, вЂњYou know thereвЂ™s all kinds of leakage all over the drums, listen to thisвЂќ. You know, and I actually recorded the drums on on that song here. I have a bit of a studio here, I got the drums here. You know, but when COVID hit, we only had one song recorded. You know, because it was gonna be an album called вЂњSupreme FudgeвЂќ on Golden Robot records. So when Tim was sick, that was my idea I said you know we should try and get Tim on this song. But we had to do some vocals and when Tim was okay, we went to that studio and did vocals because Jorgen is a friend of mine, he lives not far from Tim. He said heвЂ™s got a deal maybe to wait till next year so itвЂ™s a 50th anniversary of the band. I donвЂ™t know when but Jeff BeckвЂ™s managerвЂ™s working on deal. When we recorded at GovвЂ™t Mules bass players house Jorgen (Carlsson), because we had a BBA, live at the London Rainbow coming out. Was there any other significance to the band in recording that song?Д¬armine: Well, it was a main significant thing that happened. Karl: So yeah, in that tribute you did to Tim, вЂTo The Legacy Of Tim.вЂ™ You said the reason why you did вЂStop In The Name Of LoveвЂ™ was to get him back into the studio so you could get that last song. Karl: Yeah itвЂ™s a rarity.Д¬armine: Yeah, total rarity and it l closed the book on us you know, вЂHanging OnвЂ™ by The Supremes, вЂStop In The Name Of LoveвЂ™ by The Supremes, the book is closed with Tim. I donвЂ™t know anyone thatвЂ™s released any new music with all four original members since like 1967. They could have released solo stuff you know, nobody that I know of has released it and everyone I talked to agrees with me this now. That released a new song recorded recently, right? With all four original members and everybody that was in the top 10 with us, the Beatles, the Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, The Cream, or The Who, nobody has original members in it. And by getting Tim on that song, it put us (Vanilla Fudge) into the class of the fact that thereвЂ™s no other bands from that 1967 movement of you know ,вЂќunderground musicвЂќ as we called it. But the good thing about it is we got him on that song. But then again, he ended up in the same place, but he lasted two years after that, suffering. You know, and itвЂ™s good a thing he wasnвЂ™t on his motorcycle and the same thing (happened). And he found out by riding his motorcycle somewhere. He (Tim) died after having had cancer (for some time).
